Kensington and Chelsea Mind Friends in Need is a peer to peer social support and wellbeing community for people affected by depression and other mental health problems.

Friends in Need is underpinned by the Five Ways to Wellbeing. These are a set of evidence based actions which promote people's wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give.
There are three ways to get involved with Friends in Need: social meet ups, FiN online and our Stay Well workshops.
Locally, Friends in Need run over 60 social meet ups a month in the Kensington and Chelsea and Queens Park, and Paddington area where you can meet people with similar interests and be connected with people in your area.

I wasn't sure about joining an online community at first but I must say I'm really pleased I did because there appears to be some really lovely, caring people here with loads of time to chat and give you a boost. I find talking online really helpful, especially when you can't deal with people face to face
