Peer Support Project - ready to go live!

Mind has been awarded 3.2million by the Big Lottery Fund to deliver and evaluate approaches to deliver high quality peer support across England.

The two-year programme will begin to build an evidence base for mental health peer support across the country.  The programme is a response to calls from people with experience of mental health problems to ensure they have access to peer support, to look at why it works and to support its future sustainability.

The pilot will be delivered over 9 areas and Kensington and Chelsea Mind has been chosen for the London Region.  We will be holding 3 main events over the next two years to faciltate networking, discussion and informaition sessions for local groups and organisaitons interested in offering and developing mental health peer support.  Our first networking event will be launched in October this year.
